Lim Seng Lee Duck Rice

Lim Seng Lee Duck rice, a famous local makan place on our island, that was close to hearts to our family.

Since young, my dad will just cross the narrow road to buy this duck rice for my lunch. Yes, it as just a stone's thrown away from my childhood house!

My dad who is also a friend of the boss over the years, craved for his duck rice. He requested if we could go there lunch one day as he knew that his restaurant will be closing shop soon.
Readily, we agreed as we missed the food and the street that I grew up with!
The duck meat has been sliced much thinner now. Other than that, the taste was more or less the same. (of course, the portion has shrunk over the years too)

Yeah, he as happy with the food! We were glad that we were able to get a table. There was a long queue !
The rice with the sauce ...
The chilli sauce hat goes with the duck rice.

The boss .... too busy to talk ....
This place will always be in our mind ....

Meet up !

My dear friend & his son returned from Australia for a visit !
It was really a great catch-up with the pair and with Tita!

Jeremy has blossomed into such a handsome and well-mannered teen!
I'm glad that we made time for this gathering despite the hectic week!

A rare CNY gathering with Primary School friends!

This was truly a rare gathering with my primary school friends!
So rare that I thought it might be good if I can cook for them!

 Broccoli and scallops
Prawn paste chicken wings and fried sotong balls
Pepper sotong and prawns with onions and green peppers
Too much food for us though .....

Thank you for dropping by!

CNY 2013 with 1B18

This blog entry was so out-dated. Have been really busy and tired with family matters and work that I don't even have time to blog. My fiend has just told me how come my CNY entries was like months later :(

We had our annual CNY gathering at Gavin's house this year. As usual, we brought our home-made food for our gathering. Pork-chops and curry cooked by Tiang and Mr See's brother.

Firecracker prawns and vegetarian beehoon by DT and BC.
Home-made orange cakes for friends!
Delicious huat kueh by BC ... and soup by Shark !

We spent quite a lot of time taking some group photos together.

 Cute poses !

This lovely corner graced by a gigantic auspicious pineapple became our favourite photography spot!

Nice Lao Yu Sheng from Chinatown (Zhen Jie Fa Cai Yu Sheng) brought over by LL.
