Our fourth relaxing day in Tasmania ! Time flies !
This was the last opportunity to buy things home. We spent the entire morning shopping at Target to get some clothing etc ...
We went to Sorell Fruit Farm. A rather small farm but good enough for us
to while away some time picking strawberries which happened to be the only
fruits to be picked durrng this season.
Each visitor will get an empty plastic container for A6.00 which includes the entrance fee into the farm. These are some of the fruits which you can find in the farm during the right seasons.Three fields of strawberries to pick from ...
Ripening nectarines ...
Pretty sweet strawberries ...
We have quite a good time trying to pick the strawberries though ...
Happy with our picks!
Our lunch venue ... a humble eating place manned by fishermen. No fanciful plates and table set-up. No extensive menus for you to choose from. They sold whatever catch they have on that day wrapped up in baking sheets and double-wrapped with newspapers! Should I say this is the most unpretentious meal that we ever had? Anyhow, we have chosen to seat outside on the table and bench!
